Welcome to Proyecto Árbol Generoso’s Blog. The goal of this blog is to keep you – a potential donator, supporter and co-conspirator in the amazing world we are trying to create – informed on what we are up to. We will mostly focus on the following types of posts:
- Our why: these types of blog posts will be to connect you to our community. Why Dominical? Why these schools? Why these children? Why these causes? These blogs will give you some insight into why we are doing what we are doing and how specifically we are going to help. You see, our goal over time is to become better – a better association, a better raiser of funds and most importantly a better community. How do we do that? By letting other people in, people with fresh eyes who can help us to see what we are going through from a different view. Maybe someone responds with a new idea we haven’t thought of. Maybe someone sees a different approach. Maybe someone asks about a previous why and holds us accountable to that. Maybe someone has a connection they want to lend us. Why gives us purpose and we want you to understand and participate as well.
- Fundraising events: These guys will be fun. They will recap fundraising events, have pictures and most importantly celebrate how our community showed up and how much we raised in donations. It is important to us that you know how much was raised and if the event specifically went to one cause or another. We want transparency here because whether you participated as a volunteer, donor, supporter or participant your energy turned into something and sometimes it is nice to see where those ripples flow to.
- Other events: We have some other events in the works and up our sleeves. These events, while not fundraisers, will be community builders and we will be happy to post what it was about, pictures and any other fun snip-its.
- Your dollars in action: The reason we give so much time and you donate to our causes – the actual actions. These blog posts will show you where your dollars went, in the real world, in this magical little community. These may be longer posts as there are multiple steps between the dollar hitting our account and the action happening, but this is where we hope to record all of those steps for you to follow along with. That dollar of donation made a ripple and here you will find its compounded effect.
Of course there may be other posts – there is no way for us to really know where we are going but we hope to maintain transparency and document how it is all going.
Right now our project is really just a generous seed (semilla generoso), but with the help of people like you, planted in a place just like this, our collective árbol will become something truly glorious. Thank you so much for wanting to follow our journey and be a part of our project in some way. Please remember to follow us on social media, keep up with our causes and help spread the word of our little seed. The more we get watered and loved, the bigger and stronger we will become.
Bienvenidos al blog de Proyecto Árbol Generoso. El objetivo de este blog es mantenerlo a usted, un posible donante, partidario y co-conspirador en el increíble mundo que estamos tratando de crear, informado sobre lo que estamos haciendo. Nos centraremos principalmente en los siguientes tipos de publicaciones:
- Nuestro por qué: este tipo de publicaciones de blog serán para conectarte con nuestra comunidad. ¿Por qué Dominical? ¿Por qué estas escuelas? ¿Por qué estos niños? ¿Por qué estas causas? Estos blogs le darán una idea de por qué estamos haciendo lo que estamos haciendo y cómo específicamente vamos a ayudar. Verá, nuestro objetivo con el tiempo es ser mejores: una mejor asociación, un mejor recaudador de fondos y, lo más importante, una mejor comunidad. ¿Cómo lo hacemos? Dejando entrar a otras personas, personas con ojos frescos que pueden ayudarnos a ver por lo que estamos pasando desde un punto de vista diferente. Tal vez alguien responde con una nueva idea en la que no hemos pensado. Tal vez alguien vea un enfoque diferente. Tal vez alguien pregunte sobre un por qué anterior y nos haga responsables de eso. Tal vez alguien tiene una conexión que quiere prestarnos. Por eso nos da propósito y queremos que usted entienda y participe también.
- Eventos de recaudación de fondos: Estos chicos serán divertidos. Recapitularán los eventos de recaudación de fondos, tendrán fotos y, lo más importante, celebrarán cómo se presentó nuestra comunidad y cuánto recaudamos en donaciones. Es importante para nosotros que sepa cuánto se recaudó y si el evento se destinó específicamente a una causa u otra. Queremos transparencia aquí porque ya sea que haya participado como voluntario, donante, partidario o participante, su energía se convirtió en algo y, a veces, es agradable ver hacia dónde fluyen esas ondas.
– Otros eventos: Tenemos algunos otros eventos en proceso y bajo la manga. Estos eventos, aunque no recaudan fondos, serán constructores de comunidades y estaremos encantados de publicar de qué se trataba, fotos y cualquier otro recorte divertido.
– Sus dólares en acción: La razón por la que damos tanto tiempo y usted dona a nuestras causas – las acciones reales. Estas publicaciones de blog le mostrarán a dónde fueron sus dólares, en el mundo real, en esta pequeña comunidad mágica. Estas pueden ser publicaciones más largas, ya que hay múltiples pasos entre el dólar que golpea nuestra cuenta y la acción que sucede, pero aquí es donde esperamos registrar todos esos pasos para que los siga. Ese dólar de donación hizo una onda expansiva y aquí encontrará su efecto compuesto.
Por supuesto, puede haber otras publicaciones: no hay forma de que sepamos realmente a dónde vamos, pero esperamos mantener la transparencia y documentar cómo va todo.
En este momento nuestro proyecto es realmente solo una semilla generosa, pero con la ayuda de personas como tú, plantadas en un lugar como este, nuestro árbol colectivo se convertirá en algo verdaderamente glorioso.
