Olyvia's Library is a cozy, volunteer-run community space where people of all ages can discover books, learn together, and connect. Part of Proyecto Árbol Generoso, the library fosters a love of reading and supports local educational initiatives.
Backpacks with grade appropriate school supplies are given to the children/families in need of the 8 schools we are working with during the first week of the school year. This ensures everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
Overpopulation in Dominical and its neighboring villages is a huge problem. We work with a trusted clinic organizer to subsidize the cost of operations and medications, making it more affordable to the local populus, leading to more animals being helped.
Just before Christmas the children of our participating schools receive a new pair of clothes, shoes and two gifts. This is both a congratulations for completing another year of school and something that keeps the holiday season magical and special!
Festival de la Luz in Dominical is a magical community event where the spirit of Christmas comes alive. The town transforms into a festive wonderland with dazzling lights, a towering Christmas tree, and lively parades featuring local marching bands, colorful floats, and talented dancers. It's a joyful celebration that brings the whole community together to share in the holiday cheer.
